• India is marking the 11th anniversary of the Digital India initiative, transitioning into a new phase focused on artificial intelligence and semiconductor manufacturing. • The government has approved 12 semiconductor projects with an investment pipeline of approximately ₹1.64 lakh crore, encompassing one fabrication unit, two compound fabrication units, and nine packaging units. • To ensure ethical growth, the government released AI Governance Guidelines in November 2025 to promote the development of "safe, inclusive and trustworthy" AI.

• Minister Jitin Prasada emphasized technology self-reliance and innovation-led growth during the STPI's 35th Foundation Day, identifying AI, semiconductors, and startups as critical pillars for the "Viksit Bharat@2047" vision. • STPI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Wadhwani Foundation to strengthen skill development, entrepreneurship, and innovation initiatives across the country. • The event marked the launch of Sayuj, an AI-powered mobile application created to unify the startup ecosystem by connecting innovators, mentors, and incubators on a single digital platform.
